Welcome.....
Daniel S. Wasson graduated from Foran High School in 1979. While at Foran, Danny was captain of both the baseball and football teams. Danny grew up playing baseball in the Milford Little League system , as well as playing in the Senior Babe Ruth Leagues.
- Upon graduation from Foran, Danny joined the Air Force and in 1984 after serving 4 years, Danny joined the Milford Police department. He became a K9 officer within his first year with the department.
- Danny was killed in the line of duty on April 12th, 1987 . He was shot and killed on the Post Rd. in Milford, CT after a routine traffic violation stop.
The Wasson Babe Ruth Baseball League would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the familiy of Officer Daniel S. Wasson for the opportunity to extend the character and integrity of the leagues youth that Officer Wasson displayed by giving his life to protect us all here in our city.

History...
The association shall be called the Daniel S. Wasson Baseball League, formally called the Milford Senior Little League and Milford Senior League. The Name was changed to honor the memory of a former player in the league, Milford Police Officer Daniel S. Wasson, who was killed in the line of duty in 1987.
Teams consist of
- 13 year old division
- 15 and under division
- 16 year old team
- 18 and under division.
The 15 and under teams are part of Babe Ruth District 3 and the 18 and under teams are part of Senior Babe Ruth which is part of the Housatonic Valley District 3. Milford's talent level has made it possible through the years for various tournament teams to progress to the states, regionals and some to the World Series. We are proud of our players and coaches.
In 2006 Milford Babe Ruth offered Babe Ruth Softball. We are entering our fourth year of competition. All our Babe Ruth softball teams have qualified for State Tournament play each year. Check out more softball by going to the Softball Information page..
